Kyma Technologies, Inc., a leading supplier of crystalline aluminum nitride (AlN) and gallium nitride (GaN) materials and related products and services, today announced the most recent success of their relatively new Kyma Consulting division which has a mission to help other small businesses be successful in government contracting.

Kyma was recently approached by a prospective new customer who was seeking federal contract support for some of their products and services. The customer was inexperienced in the creation of proper cost proposals which are required as part of the government proposal submission process. This included the need to calculate and forecast fully burdened labor rates (FBLRs), also called wrap rates, which would obtain during the planned contract period, should they be successful in winning such support.

Although the customer interviewed many other established “service firms”, Kyma was chosen in part because Kyma was able to work not only in the proposal preparation stage but also in the post-selection stage.

“Our customer was pleased to know not only that they could have more confidence in their cost proposal generation process, but also that we could sign up now to helping them get the proposed effort under contract if and when they are selected for an award,” said Karen Nield, Kyma’s Chief Finance Officer.
