Kyma Partners with CAS Machine to Expand Machine Shop Expertise & Capabilities

Kyma Technologies, Inc. announced today their new partnership with CAS Machine, a startup professional machining company, to expand Kyma’s overall machine shop expertise & capabilities.

Chris Sanford has been Kyma’s key contact person at North Carolina State University’s Precision Instrument Machine Shop for the past several years. By forming CAS Machine and teaming up with Kyma, Chris now can expand his overall clientele reach and his ability to support the specialty parts needs of local businesses.

The added capabilities include the addition of CNC milling machine.

“Chris is a great guy and a great machinist, and we are very happy he is able to partner with us in this way,” said Gregg Dodson, Kyma’s Chief Engineer, who is responsible for all of Kyma’s facilities including its machine shop and Kyma’s growing specialty parts & equipment design and manufacturing.

Kyma’s partnership with CAS Machine is the fourth chapter in the evolution of Kyma’s machine shop. The first chapter began in mid-2013 when Kyma built the machine shop to gain speed and agility in its development of state-of-the-art crystal growth tools and support equipment. The second chapter started shortly thereafter when Kyma began offering machine shop services both to support local businesses and to augment the capacity of other local machine shops. Chapter three began in 2016 when Kyma began leasing time in its machine shop to qualified customers.
